Ukrainian stars took part in "16 Days Against Violence" campaign
On the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the "16 Days Against Violence" campaign was launched around the world. This initiative aims to draw attention to the problem of violence and support women who have suffered from it.
The press service of the Future for Ukraine Foundation reported this to Novyny.LIVE.
Ukrainian stars took part in the campaign
Numerous organizations and foundations join the "16 Days Against Violence" campaign every year. In particular, the Future for Ukraine Foundation, within the framework of the GIDNA project, provides victims of conflict-related sexual violence with free, anonymous and qualified psychological assistance.
This year, famous stars and influencers joined the "Ty Gidna!" ("You Are Worthy!") social initiative. Rapper Alyona Alyona, lead singer of the KAZKA band Oleksandra Zaritska and other cultural figures created a video aimed at supporting women.
In the motivational video, famous Ukrainian women urged women not to remain silent, to seek help and to remember: every woman, despite traumatic experiences, deserves safety, love, understanding and freedom from fear.
The organizers emphasize that violence must be spoken about openly, so that victims know that they are not alone, and that support and help are available.
"Today, violence is a powerful and cruel weapon that the occupiers use against Ukrainian women. It is a trauma that remains with the victims and completely changes their lives, undermining the basic sense of security and trust in the world. The real fact: the number of complaints about violence does not equal the number of cases. There are significantly fewer of them, because women choose to remain silent and not share their experiences for various reasons," the Future for Ukraine Foundation noted.
Previously, we wrote about what to do if a man constantly likes other women's photos and videos on social networks.
We also talked about how to respond to rude people, so that they don't do it again.
