Polish director Patryk Vega presented the trailer for the film "The Death of Putin". The film combines real facts, fiction and deepfake technology. The focus is on the dark sides of the life of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
"I always wanted to make a film about Russian organized crime. When Putin invaded Ukraine, I realized: it was time to tell the story of the biggest gangster of Russia — Putin. So I started changing the original script to focus on his biography," Patrick Vega said.
The film depicts such pro-government crimes in Russia as the explosions of apartment buildings, FSS operations, the siege of the theater on Dubrovka and the transfer of power from Yeltsin to Putin.
The film was filmed in Poland, Ukraine, Israel, Jordan, Aleppo and even in Russia. "The Death of Putin" became the first film in which deepfake technology was actively used to create visual authenticity.
As a reminder, the famous Serbian director dreams of Russian citizenship. In addition, Ukrainian actor Hryhoriy Baklanov voiced 25 characters in the popular Ukrainian game "S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2".
