First trailer of "Superman" released by DC — video

DC Studios has unveiled the first trailer for the feature film Superman. The premiere of the superhero film is scheduled for July 2025.
The teaser was published on YouTube.
"Superman" teaser
At the beginning of the teaser, director James Gunn shows the Man of Steel with a bloody face after a crash landing. He is rescued by a cute puppy named Crypto.
The film stars David Corensworth as Superman/Clark Kent, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor.
The teaser does not reveal the plot of the movie. Action, romance and scenes of saving the world are set to the familiar Superman theme song by John Williams.
The film also introduces several new characters, including Hawkgirl Isabela Merced, a version of Green Lantern (Nathan Fillion) and Mr. Terrific (Edi Gathage).
Superman will be released internationally on July 9, 2025.
